Every year TACTYC awards several scholarships to students who are selected and meet eligible criteria. These criteria are based on completion of college credit hours, grade point average, recommendations, and a commitment to a career in accounting.
TACTYC SCHOLARSHIPS:
For the 2010-2011 academic year the Teachers of Accounting at Two-Year Colleges (TACTYC) and American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA)offered four (4) scholarships; each in the amount of $1,000.00, awarded to two qualified students pursuing a two-year degree in Accounting and two qualified students transferring to a university to pursue a Bachelors degree in Accounting.
The winners of this year’s scholarships are:
Beau Plummer of Klamath Falls, OR - Mr. Plummer is a 2nd year accounting student at Klamath Community College in Klamath Falls, OR.
Maria Ramierz of Klamath Falls, OR - Ms. Ramierz is a 2nd year accounting student at Klamath Community College in Klamath Falls, OR.
Esteffi Edulan of Rancho Cucamonga, CA - Ms. Edulan will be transferring to Cal Poly, Pomona in Fall 2010.
Stanley Pajor of Manchester, CT - Mr. Pajor will be transferring to University of Connecticut in Fall 2010.
ACAT SCHOLARSHIPS:
For the 2010-2011 academic year the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation (ACAT) once again offered two (2) scholarships; each in the amount of $500.00, awarded through the NSA Scholarship Foundation, to two qualified TACTYC students pursuing a two-year degree in Accounting.
The winners of this year’s scholarships are:
Bethany N. Spates of Lincoln, AL - Ms. Spates is a 2nd year accounting student at Gadsden State Community College in Gadsden, AL.
Cynthia F. Toepler of Lansing, MI - Ms. Toepler is a 2nd year accounting student at Lansing Community College in Lansing, MI.
